Two types of editor:
- WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get): with these applications, we create our web page as though we were writing in a word processor. They then automatically generate the source code in HTML.
- Editors that work directly in HTML: These are less popular than the previous type because users must have an advanced knowledge of HTML.
CMS (Content Management System)
It is a software developed so that any user can manage contents of a website easyly and without knowledge of web programming.
The 3 principal functions of CMS are website creation, management and maintenance of the website, administration of the website and the CMS itself.
