what is hosting?

It is the service that provides the Internet space for websites. If you want to create your website and others can visit it, you will need to publish or «upload» the files of your site to a web hosting service.

types

• Shared hosting: This is where your website will be stored on the same server as multiple other websites. With a shared hosting plan, all domains share the same server resources. However, because all resources are shared, the cost of shared hosting plans are relatively low, making them an excellent option for website owners in their beginning stages. 

•  Virtual private server (VPS) hosting: Is the ultimate middle ground between a shared server and a dedicated server. Each website is hosted within its own space on the server, though it still shares a physical server with other users.

• Dedicated server hosting: Gives website owners the most control over the server that their website is stored on. That’s because the server is exclusively rented by you and your website is the only one stored on it.

• Cloud Based Web Hosting: refers to a fairly new hosting technology that lets hundreds of individual servers work together so that it looks like one giant server. The idea is that as the need grows, the hosting company can just add more commodity hardware to make an ever larger grid or cloud.

• Free website hosting: is a free non-paid web hosting service. There are many web hosts who provide subdomains to anyone who want to make website.
